COACHING
A coaching programme guides and supports people while transitioning to a new stage of consciousness development. We take a client-centred approach to coaching enabled by us drawing on a wide range of psychological disciplines, models and techniques.
People come to us for coaching when their state of consciousness is misaligned with the nature of their work. This can happen when a person is overly stressed and tumbles down the development stages, facing a new challenge at work beyond their current stage or embarking on their next stage of growth.
When faced with misalignment, most people are likely to experience a significant level of anxiety before a new way of understanding of the world emerges. Although they may be well prepared to handle stress, face the challenge and grow, they still need to ensure they are being supported through the transition period. The type of support provided must be aligned with the person’s next stage in their development.
The table below outlines the type of support our coaches provide according to the person’s stage of development.
When making the transition to the post-conventional stages, people are best served by working with a coach who can support them in letting go of their need for certainty and helping them transcend the constraints of their ego-attached identity. During this transition, they are likely to experience the loss of their sense of self, so we must work with someone who can hold them at our learning edge, and reassure them that this is a natural part of adult development.
